A Japanese-tattoo style dragon wraps around a katana, through red peonies and smoke-grey clouds. Scale rows, belly plates and the gold-wrapped hilt are built as separate textures, so the detail reads on fabric and not just on screen.
- Statement size: 222 × 265 mm in a 29 × 29 cm hoop. Jacket backs, hoodie backs, framed wall art.
- Light or black fabric: sew it on either, with a bobbin that matches the fabric.
- No re-threading: every colour fits on a 15-needle machine at once.
It's dense and detailed, so plan for a long run and a heavy cut-away stabilizer. Try the free 70 mm test swatch first.
Fabric & stabilizer
Fabric: Medium-weight woven cotton twill or canvas, 220-300 g/m2, white, light or black. Pre-washed/pressed, no stretch.
Stabilizer: 1 layer heavy cut-away, 2.5-3.0 oz (approx. 85-100 g/m2) plus 1 layer medium tear-away underneath, hooped together with the fabric, firm but not stretched. Light temporary spray adhesive on the backing (not on the fabric). Trim the cut-away to 6-12 mm around the design afterwards.
